Grand Teton National Park Autumn Photo Tour

It’s hard to select a favorite time of year to explore and photograph Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming but autumn would have to be a top contended for that title. Along with the beautiful landscape, made even more dramatic by the fall colors, the wildlife in and around the Park are more active and make for a great addition to the abundant photo opportunities.

We’ve just added a smaller group size Grand Teton Photography Tour with a limit of 4 participants starting on September 14th ending Sept. 18th with 4 nights lodging at the rustic Heart Six Guest Ranch.  At the Ranch you’ll also have the chance to photograph the daily horse round-up each morning along with their release back to pasture later in the day. An optional 1/2 day trail ride is also offered. The dates for the Autumn in Grand Teton National Park Photo Tour are September 14th – 18th, 2015

Wasatch Mountain Photo Tours

Park City, Utah Photo Tours

Just a few weeks ago Moya, my black lab, and I were barely able to make it down some of the back-roads where I take guest on photo tours in the areas around Park City, Utah as the snow was still about four feet deep. A few days ago in the same areas the wildflowers were poking out of the ground. Life in the mountains! We’ve had a lot of rain which should make for a great summer season with high meadows covered in colorful vegetation. In some spots the arrowleaf balsam root, a large yellow daisy like bloom, have already appeared and the very beautiful and delicate glacier lilies are coming up among the aspen groves.

Storm Over Antarctica

This was captured along the Antarctic Peninsula as pockets of light broke through the storm clouds we encountered on a frequent basis. Made for great lighting and photo opportunities.

Grand Teton Photo Tour 2015

Join Nikon Asia Ambassador David C Schultz during his upcoming Spring, Grand Teton Photo Tour starting June 1st 2015.

This photo tour will be based at the beautiful, secluded and rustic Heart Six Ranch located just outside the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. There’s very limited space available for this popular event. Please follow the links for more information on the Ranch and the cabins. Cabins will vary depending on time of you booking.

Special arrangements have been made allowing us to photograph the wranglers while rounding up the horses on the mornings when we’re not out capturing the sunrise down in the Teton valley. You’ll also have extended access to the Jackson Rodeo which Is held one evening giving you plenty of opportunities to practice your fast action focusing skills. A private horse pack ride is planned to get us into the Bridger-Teton National Forest  which offers views of the mountains you can only see by non-motorized means.
