If you’ll be visiting the Park City, UT area then you may wish to spend time exploring the backcountry with your guide and award winning nature photographer, David C. Schultz. David is now offering half-day private photography lessons and tours in the beautiful Heber Valley and surround mountains near Park City, Utah. As a thirty year resident, David ‘s wealth of knowledge regarding the perfect photography locations, viewpoints and timing is sure to make your guided tour or personal photography lesson a highlight of your visit to the Park City area. The back-road tours are designed to be of interest to non-photographers as well as the beginner or advanced photographer. Cell phone shooters welcome!

David offers private photography instructions, both in the field as well as at your location. Lessons range from assisting the beginner out with selecting what photo equipment to purchase, or setting up a new system, to helping with one on one instructions out on location in the beautiful Wasatch Mountains surrounding Park City. Depending on the conditions, what you would like to work on, and the time of year a location will be selected in either the Uinta Mountains or the Wasatch Range. Also, David can help you with your post-processing skills whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom.

Along with actual photography lessons David conducts back-road tours in the Wasatch Mountains or Uinta Mountains, all a short drive from Park City and the Heber Valley, when conditions allow. Two tours are available daily, each lasting from 4-5 hours depending on what is encountered along the way. Times are selected for best light and possible wildlife spotting opportunities but this can be adjusted to meet your needs. These tours begin and end in the town of Heber City which is about twenty minutes from Park City. If you will not have a car many local Park City resorts often have transportation options for you and Uber, Lyft or other shuttle services are available.
