In reply to <a href="https://test.davidcschultz.com/park-city-photography-tours/#comment-7007">Ann Haines</a>.

I replied to your email pertaining to this but wanted to post the reply here as it might be of interest to others.
>>>
Hello Ann

Sounds like a fun road trip you have planned. I hope you're aware that much of the Yellowstone road system is completely closed in the winter. The only exception is the far north route from Gardiner over to Cooke City.

The tours I do in the Park during the winter are via a small snowcoach I charter and I limit each tour to two guest. These are based out of West Yellowstone. You can get on one of the daily snowcoach or snowmobile tours but not with dogs and they are typically not "photo tours".

You're welcome to give me a call if after reading this you have any questions. At this time all five of my tours are full.
Take care, David

I am thinking about a winter trip to Yellowstone in January - I am planning to drive from PA. I have a nice Canon 7D Mark II and a 400 mm lens but am intimidated by all the bells and whistles and don’t take it off auto very often. I just happened to find you while searching about wolves. Last year I drove across country with my niece who was moving to CA and we did all the National Parks in Utah. It was an awesome trip so I decided to take another winter trip. My schedule is flexible and thought I would just get some information.

Thanks for your time and consideration.
