Winter in Yellowstone Photography Tour

“I just completed my six day photography workshop at Yellowstone National Park with nature photographer David C Schultz who owns Wasatch Photo Tours. My experience on every level far exceeded my expectations and I learned so much from David. I can’t say enough about David’s workshop/tour. He only allows two photographers per trip which is genius. I saw so many 15-30 passenger vehicles disgorging photographers all carrying tripods and monster lenses. Talk about a logistical nightmare” : Bill M. Read more…

We’ll depart from our lodging at West Yellowstone, MT early each day in the warmth and comfort of the snow coach, heading to different destinations within the Park. Because of the winter conditions wildlife is more consolidated making for many photo opportunities without the summertime crowds. Since much of the wildlife tend to migrate around the thermal areas you’ll have the added benefits of capturing images of bison coated in a blanket of frost or with the steam rising from the geysers and streams which make for a spectacular backdrop. A few of our destinations include, Upper Geyser Basin famous for Old Faithful, The Firehole River Basin, Midway and Lower Geyser Basins and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

AM INTERESTED IN THE WINTER 2020 YELLOWSTONE TOUR.
THE FIRST PARAGRAPH SAYS IT IS TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS, BUT THE DISCLAIMER AT THE END SPEAKS OF CANCELLING IF THERE ARE NOT AT LEAST FOUR PEOPLE. WHICH IS IT?
ALSO, I SHOOT WITH CANON AND OLYMPUS. I KNOW MY WAY AROUND BOTH CAMERAS AND DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE AN ISSUE.
Hello Jennifer
Thanks for the interest in joining me during one of my 2020 Winter in Yellowstone Tours. Thanks also for pointing out the error regarding the number of participants. I’ve made the correction to the disclaimer which now shows the number as 2. There are times when I might take more than 2 guest on one of these tours but that is ONLY at the request of the participant, say a group of 3 friends that want to take the tip together.
Absolutely no problem regarding the brand of camera gear used! Longer telephoto lenses of 400mm or longer are strongly recommended.
Hope this helps!

I would like to book for one of the January 2020 Yellowstone trips but it appears that the ‘Book Now’ button is for 2019. Can you clarify/help please.
